We are actively seeking an Environmental Systems Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Redwood Falls, MN! We offer a guaranteed starting wage of $27.94/Hr., regular pay increases, and $1/Hr. night shift & $2/Hr. weekend shift differentials! Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work safely following all company safety policies, practices, procedures and improvement initiatives
Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements including safety, environmental, and food/feed safety
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment; pond systems; fresh water and wash water systems
Operate and maintain all boilers and associated systems (HPR, Water softer, etc.)
Operate and maintain all air scrubbing equipment and associated systems (chlorine dioxide, etc.)
Operate and maintain all chemical storage chemical distribution systems; propane systems and heating systems
Collect and test samples to monitor systems and determine changes to meet safety and operational requirements
Perform routine cleaning and inspection of equipment to maintain general housekeeping
Record observations and communicate any issues
Repair and troubleshoot treatment systems and meters
Assist in the operation, monitoring and maintenance of all electrical and electrical generation systems
Operate bobcats, forklifts, yard tractors and other units necessary to load, unload and process raw material
Use tools and equipment provided for assigned duties safely and correctly
Operate welders, acetylene torches and plasma torches, as needed
Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Associate in Science (AS) degree in related field, preferred
1-2 years’ experience of wastewater treatment, chemical distribution, and boiler operation
Ability to obtain and maintain valid Minnesota Chief B Boiler Operator license and Class C Wastewater Operator license
Ability to lift 75 lbs. from floor to waist level
Ability to climb 75 ft. of stairway or climb up ladder 40 ft. occasionally to operate and make fine adjustments to buttons/controls
Ability to tolerate varying environmental conditions
