Lower Sioux Health Care Center

Lower Sioux Health Care Center in Morton offers primary care from a physician and nurse practitioner, with additional services including pharmacy, dental, and optical services. The clinic is open to members of the Lower Sioux Indian Community, employees of the Lower Sioux Indian Community Businesses, and family of the aforementioned. Non-member area residents are welcome to use the clinic as well.

Carris Health – Redwood Hospital, formerly Redwood Area Hospital, is a 25-bed critical access hospital. Carris Health — Redwood strives to bring strong healthcare close to home with leading technology and more than 200 highly-skilled staff working to provide a variety of inpatient and outpatient services.

24/7 Emergency Care

The hospital’s emergency department holds Level 4 Trauma, Level 1 Heart Attack and Stroke-Ready designations and is staffed 24/7 by physicians trained for emergency care. When advanced care is needed, the hospital aims to get patients to specialized facilities within 90 minutes.

Emergency transport is coordinated with North Memorial Health Ambulance and North Air-Care using the hospital’s on-site helipad.

Birthing Services

Expecting mothers can experience delivery comfort in Carris Health — Redwood Hospital’s birthing suites,
from a soak in a whirlpool tub to a variety of pain management options, including epidural, to ease labor
and delivery. C-section delivery is available in the hospital’s two operating room suites.
