The Minnesota River Valley Scenic Byway was fully designated in 1996 by Minnesota State Scenic Byway Commission.

The Minnesota River Valley Scenic Byway runs along the Minnesota River from Browns Valley to Belle Plaine, includes 14 counties, and travels through the Redwood Area.
