Attention Redwood County Businesses: Redwood Area Chamber has been asked to facilitate the one-time distribution of masks from MN DEED. This distribution includes all businesses in Redwood County. Due to the HUGE number of requests we've received in just 24hours, we'd like to clarify a few things that we have verified through the following "MN DEED - Mask FAQs:" (These reminders were included in the mask request form information and are also on our website.)
*Masks are meant for privately owned businesses.
*Masks are meant for privately owned businesses to hand to their customers/clients who may not have a mask, or have forgotten a mask, and may also be used for employees. They are intended to be used for customers or employees as all businesses initially adjust to the new executive order that mandates indoor mask use.
*This is a one-time shipment, and not a lasting solution to businesses’ need for masks in the coming months.
*If you are not a private business, your request will not be fulfilled by this distribution.
*Per MN DEED and Governor Walz' Executive Order 20-81, "As of July 25, 2020, people in Minnesota are required to wear a face covering in all public indoor spaces and businesses, unless alone." "Therefore, businesses and individuals/customers should be prepared to purchase masks for the future. This is a one-time shipment and privately owned businesses will not have any opportunity for re-orders, nor should be considered as a supply chain."
*Individuals and customers should become prepared with masks, as the burden of providing masks to customers is a financial drain on all businesses and should not be expected.

*IMPORTANT: Please note your registration does not guarantee your quantity requested - if we have additional masks remaining after the days of distribution, we will make further distribution available, but we do not anticipate that happening. Amount shipped to chambers across MN was determined by MN DEED based on employment numbers they have on file for Redwood County.
Redwood Area Chamber & Tourism appreciates your understanding of this situation, as we continue to advocate for businesses in our Area.
