“Spiritual Needs of the Alzheimer’s Patient &

Finding Hope in Ambiguous Loss”

 

Professional and non-professional caregivers invited!

Objective:

  1. Have an understanding of how symbols of one’s faith and reciting well known prayers enables a person with dementia to fully participate in sharing rituals
  2. Be able to explain the difference between ordinary loss and ambiguous loss
  3. Be better prepared to manage the stress associated with a dementing illness through awareness of the guidelines for finding hope in ambiguous loss

Mary Jo has been involved in memory care program development for over 20 years.  She speaks to professionals and family members on Alzheimer’s related topics throughout region.
